Artist/Gardener apron-how to patinate
Patinating your leather apron. Even though the leather is thin, it is difficult to have natural looking when it is hanging. I therefore spray it with starch... that you can also use for ironing textiles. When it is damp I form it, as you can see in the photos below here. If the apron is to be used in an artist studio I take a brush and put on some different acrylic or oil paints and with a finger press through the brush. Do it outside or put the apron in a box, so the paints do not go everywhere. Good luck with your patinating.
